Hagarla Institute, a leading center for governance, peacebuilding, and policy research in Somalia, needed an impactful online presence to showcase their work, publish research, and engage with local and international stakeholders. Zifala designed and built a modern website that reflects their mission and makes content easily accessible to diverse audiences.

The Chalange
Hagarla had no previous website and relied solely on social media and PDF reports to communicate their research. This limited their visibility and made it difficult for audiences to discover and engage with their work. They needed a simple, intuitive platform that could grow with them as they expand their influence.
What Zifala Did
Zifala started by understanding Hagarla’s audience segments and content needs, ensuring the website structure supports easy navigation across research areas, publications, and events. Our design team crafted a minimal yet elegant UI, ensuring the platform works seamlessly across devices and is optimized for both Somali and English content. The backend was built using WordPress and Elementor Pro to allow the Hagarla team to easily manage updates without technical support.
